Dr. Julián Pérez-Villacastín
Doctor Julián Pérez-Villacastín has a doctorate in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid, a degree in Medicine from the same university and a specialist in Cardiology and Clinical Electrophysiology.
He has developed a large part of his professional career at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, where since 2000 he has been head of the Arrhythmia Unit of the Cardiovascular Institute and, since 2021, Head of the Cardiology Service, as well as Director of CardioRed1.
He has also worked as a professor in the Department of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid since 2005, holding the current position of Professor of Medicine.
His professional and academic activity has focused especially on the field of cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology, participating in numerous multicenter studies, scientific publications, conferences and teaching activities. In addition, he has held relevant positions in medical and scientific institutions, including President of the Spanish Society of Cardiology during the period 2021-2023.

Dr. Nicasio Pérez Castellano
Graduate in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Madrid (1992) and Doctor in Medicine from the same university (2002). Specialist in Cardiology via MIR at the Gregorio Marañón General University Hospital in Madrid (1997). Specific training in Diagnostic and Therapeutic Cardiac Electrophysiology, with national and European accreditation in Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiology and Cardiac Stimulation. Areas of interest: diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, clinical and interventional electrophysiology, catheter ablation, implantable cardiac devices, cardiac pacing, and remote device monitoring. He has developed his healthcare work in the Arrhythmia Unit of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid where he is currently Head of Section of the Arrhythmia Unit, as well as at the Vithas Cardiovascular Institute, Madrid, the Ruber Internacional Hospital and the Nuestra Señora del Rosario Hospital.
Dr. David Calvo
Doctor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medicine, specialist in Cardiology. Specialist physician at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid and teaching collaborator at the Complutense University of Madrid. Areas of interest: clinical and interventional cardiac electrophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias, atrial fibrillation, catheter ablation, cardiac stimulation and monitoring of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. He has been President of the Heart Rhythm Association of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. He currently focuses his healthcare and research activity on the comprehensive approach to cardiac arrhythmias and the advanced treatment of atrial fibrillation.
Dr. Juan José González Ferrer
Graduate in Medicine and specialist in Cardiology, with specific training in cardiac electrophysiology. He has developed his healthcare activity at the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, within the Arrhythmia Unit, and is part of the arrhythmia medical team as an assistant electrophysiologist. Areas of interest: diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, clinical and interventional electrophysiology, catheter ablation, cardiac stimulation, pacemakers and monitoring of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. He currently focuses his healthcare work on the comprehensive approach to arrhythmias and advanced treatment using electrophysiology techniques and cardiac devices.
Dr. Ricardo Salgado
Graduate in Medicine and Doctor of Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid, specialist in Cardiology and with specific dedication to cardiac electrophysiology and the treatment of arrhythmias. He has developed his healthcare activity in the Arrhythmia Unit of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, where he appears as an assistant to the unit. Areas of interest: diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, clinical and interventional electrophysiology, catheter ablation, cardiac stimulation, radiation-free interventional cardiology procedures, and monitoring of patients with cardiac rhythm disorders. He currently focuses his care and teaching work on the comprehensive approach to arrhythmias within the Cardiology Service and the Arrhythmia Unit of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid.
Dr. Alba Cruz
Specialist in Cardiology, with specific dedication to cardiac electrophysiology and the diagnosis and treatment of arrhythmias. He is part of the Arrhythmia Unit of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid, where he participates in healthcare and teaching activities linked to the approach to heart rhythm disorders. Areas of interest: cardiac arrhythmias, clinical and interventional electrophysiology, catheter ablation, atrial fibrillation, cardiac pacing, and monitoring of patients with cardiac devices. He has developed his healthcare activity as an electrophysiological cardiologist in the Arrhythmia Unit of the San Carlos Clinical Hospital in Madrid and later in the Arrhythmia and Electrophysiology Unit of the Cardiology Service of the 12 de Octubre University Hospital in Madrid.
